Chocolate & almond rice crispy bars

Can you believe it's Christmas next week already?! It crazy how the couple of last month has just flown by! As you know, I'm all in the Christmas spirit right now, so I thought I'd share another Christmas recipe with you guys.

Honestly though, you could make these crispy bars all year around. For some reason though, I usually only make them around Christmas time. This time I made them with some almond butter to get a more nutty flavour, but I had a bit to little of it so I've added some to the recipe down below.

Ingredients
- 6 dl rice puffs
- 150 g dark chocolate
- 2 dl almond butter (peanut butter works as well)
- 1 dl chopped dates
- 3 Tbsp agave syrup

Chocolate & almond rice crispy bars

1. Melt the almond butter, agave syrup and chopped dates in a saucepan on low heat.

2. Melt the chocolate in a water bath or in the microwave.

3. Mix together with the rice puffs in a large bowl so everything is coated.

4. Press down the mix in a small baking sheet with baking paper in the bottom. Put in the freezer and let set for about 15-20 minutes.

5. Take out from the freezer and the baking sheet. Cut into squares with a knife. Done! Store in the freezer and take out a couple of minutes before serving.
