Red kidney bean burger

Finally friday! I really enjoy my work though, but it's always nice with weekends. The only plans I've got is to go visit my grandpa with my dad on Sunday since it's fathers day here in Sweden. Other then that, I'm just gonna take the weekend as it comes.

Äntligen fredag! Jag tycker ju dock om mitt jobb väldigt mycket, men det är alltid skönt med helg såklart. Den enda planen jag har är att hälsa på min farfar med min pappa på söndag. De är ju fars dag. Annars har jag inget planerat utan tänker bara ta helgen som den kommer. 


Tonight I'm enjoying some home made bean burgers. I used red kidney beans and white beans, but you can use black beans and corn or chickpeas as well. It was the first time i made these actually. They might not look that pretty since they cracked, but they were delicious (especially with some hummus and sriracha)!

Ikväll tänker jag njuta av dessa hemmagjorda bönburgare. Jag gjorde de på kidney bönor och vita bönor, men man kan använda svarta bönor och majs eller kikärtor också. Det var första gången jag gjorde dessa. De kanske inte ser så fina ut men de smackade himla gott (speciellt med hummus och sriracha)! 

Ingredients
For the burgers:
1 can red kidney beans
1 can white beans
1 red onion
3 Tbsp soya flour 
1 tsp paprica powder 
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt and black pepper 
Additional:
Buns 
Tomatoes
Cucumber
Steamed kale
Avocado
Hummus
Sriracha 

Red kidney bean burgers (ca 8 burgers)

1. Saute the onion with a little bit of water in a pan until they're soft. 

2. Put the beans, onion, soya flour and spices in a food processor and start to pulse until combined but not too smooth. 

3. Form the mixture in to patties. Let sit in the fridge for about 20-30 minutes. 

4. Place the patties on a baking tray and put in the oven on 200°C for about 20 minutes. Flip them after 10 minutes. 

5. Put your burger together with some bread and whatever toppings you'd like. Yum!
